Mailman2, I could not agree more. Who chooses these players? I just noticed that William McGuire from Dayton Stivers was selected 3rd-team. WOW. This kid averaged almost 18 points per game, and probaly at least 10 assist per game (if his coaches submitted them after each game) on a DIII school, who played mostly DII and DI schools this season. I saw this kid play about 8 times this year and he can hang with 90% of the players on the 1st team. I enjoyed watching Harney play but he is a perfect example of many players on the DIII list. Players who played weak schedules and coaches (this is good for them) who marketed their players name. Take a count at the end of the weekend and see how many of these players are still in the tournament. I watched Madison & Harney go down this week and Harney had 0 points near the end of the 3rd quarter. Harney is a great player, but come on DDN. A high percentage of players picked take all the shots, some their fathers are coaches on the team, and some have coaches who do what they are supposed to do, market their players. Show some love to other schools and not the same schools year-in and year-out. Hats off to Staten, what a player. He deserves his honors.
