FDR.....God-fearing, Episcopalian as the day was long, with his finger poised.
Stalin was an opportunistic closet believer (nearly went into seminary; "once a Christian, always a Christian", or so I've been told) who'd been struck in the noggin by one too many horses. When he wasn't razing churches, he was cozying up to them during troubled times.
Weren't the both of 'em happy as clams at Yalta in '45?
Sorry, Sawbones.....if the crap ever smacks the fan blades, it ain't gonna be a perturbed resident of the Land Of The Rising Sun or some disgruntled Norwegian at the helm. It'll be a President who thinks deity speaks through him/her, or a tyrant looking for an imam scrambling out of a well (my dough is still on Egypt).
Medical science will never rival the stairwell bouncers and hanger twangers that've come beforehand (but it definitely has cut down the "two-fer" mortality rates).
By the way, doctors rarely perform abortions at airports (it's that "wings and elbows" discomfiture).
