and those atheists who are, are "closeted" God worshippers.

Gotcha.

I thought scientists (the ones who developed technology and weapons) rejected religion because it supposedly flies contrary to science.

Or at least that's what Atheists claim....

So why would they develop these things if God Worshippers are just going to use them for bad things?

Sorry, your whole thesis falls flat in the face of history.
