Generalize Much?

Getting a little fast and loose, aren't you? Just push the clutch in and coast.....
MOST theists in positions of power have been the nastiest. My history's peachy-keen.
Scientists have developed the crazier stuff at the behest of theist leaders (no doubt mollified by these same leaders with the effronteries of "defensive purposes only" and "brinkmanship deterrents" which, in twisted ways, works well if your leader is only one (1) sandwich shy of a picnic; two (2) sandwiches.....well, that's one of those "wait and see" deals). Show me a consortium of power-mad scientists willing to wipe the planet clean, and I'll change my tune.
And, again, scientists don't reject religion as a rule (look at Francis Collins, if you must).
Oh, Pol Pot was an atheist, all right, but take a look at his "career": a tech-school wash-out who rose within the ranks (with China's help) to institute.....an agrarian utopia that went down in flames. Hardly in the "techie" mode, eh? Lots of scientists bit the pipe in the Killing Fields. Just another kook trying to install a mediocre local ideal nationally.
