Middletown and Tattoo shops, illegal activity??

Over the years I have seen many tattoo shops open and close in Middletown. It seems as soon as one vanishes another appears. In the recent months, I have become very concerned with the safety of some of the new generation of tattoo artists and the shops they run. Also, I am concerned about the obvious amount of illegal activity pouring from these seemingly temporary businesses.

I myself have several tattoos and want to make it clear up front that I am not out to bad mouth the art of tattooing, but simply a concerned citizen wanting to WARN OTHERS OF OBVIOUS DANGERS on Central Avenue, a street I and my family have lived on for over 8 years.

Central Avenue has become a popular strip for tattoo shops. A very short time ago, one tattoo shop on central came to a drug related halt!! Ending in the death of it's owner. While sorry for the family's loss, I feel safer knowing that one less opportunity for my children to find drugs exists.

I now have growing concern over other shops. Namely the remaining one on Central Avenue. I live close enough to see probably more than I should, more than I want to. While trying to ignore simple rumors, it is hard to ignore what is right under my nose! People running in and out all hours of the night, much too quickly for getting a tattoo or piercing!! Especially considering it's long after the hours of operation.

So I began asking questions... lots of them...and my concern is only growing! I feel I should not disclose most of the imformation I have uncovered, as I have made complaints to the necessary groups of interest already. BUT I FEEL IT IS ONLY FAIR THAT I ALLOW EVERYONE A CHANCE TO DISCOVER FOR THEMSELVES....BEFORE THEY PUT THEMSELVES OR THEIR CHILDREN AT RISK..

Before you enter a shop ask questions from others who have been there and obtained services.

Call the board of health...hint hint... and make sure the artist is certified by the red cross in necessary blood/health related areas. Because if not, they are not legal to perform!! Also, ask board of health if any reports of illness or staff infection or medical issues have been reported. You should be informed, well informed.

Ask to see proof of individual licencing, or at very least apprenticeship which will be verified for you very quickly by calling the board of health and furnishing the artist and shop name!

Simply put, until the city begins taking the complaints and obvious community hazards seriously, it's up to individuals to be very cautious about what we allow ourselves to fall victim to.

And please know that you are part of this community and your voice should be heard. If you have any complaints similar to these, be sure to call the board of health or the authorities.

THE BIG QUESTION HERE IS... shouldn't the city, and the police, be concerning themselves with the issue??? Especially after the amount of complaints I was informed had already been made??????

I am trying to get this information "out there" any way I can.
If you are able to, please make a donation to The Martin Family Fund at any Fifth Third Bank.
This is a family of 4 that lost their home at 5460 S Charleston Pike to flooding.
They've had to totally gut their home. They will need to replace all furniture and appliances, floors, walls, cabinets, doors, etc..
They also lost both their cars.
They are currently living in a borrowed camper in their driveway.
If you or someone you know would be able to donate their time and skills, such as hanging drywall, laying floor, etc..., this would also be much appreciated.
Thank you for your consideration. Feel free to contact me with any questions.
No flood insurance on the home, so nothing was covered through insurance....
They have to pay for everything on their own.
Thanks!!

I believe that teen offenders 13 to 17 years of age should be tried as adults for serious crimes, especially murder and sex crimes, and given the harshest sentences. I was upset by the three teens, two 18 year old boys and 16 year old girl, who stabbed that 31 year old Florida man to death in the West Chester hotel room and I think they should have gotten the death penalty for their crimes. At least, I am happy they may spend the rest of their evil lives in prison without parole. I also think the teenage couple who beat and tortured Ashley Clark in Hanover township should also get mandatory life sentences without parole. Teen crime is going up in Ohio, let alone Butler County, and we need to do something now!

To ALL WHO WISH TO MAKE GOOD MONEY,
PLEASE READ THE FOLLOWING:

Dear internet user :

Greetings! About two years ago, a friend came to me with a letter. She asked me to research the fact that this letter was indeed legal. I told my friend I would review it and get back to her. When I first read the letter my friend brought me, I thought it was some off-the-wall idea to make money. A week and a half later we met again at my home to discuss the letter. I told her I had taken the letter to the post office and they told me the letter she brought to me was 100% legal.
I was still curious about the letter, so my friend explained to me how it works. I thought it seemed like a long shot, so I decided against participating, but before my friend left I asked her to keep me updated on her results. About two months later, she called me to tell me she had received $800,000 in cash. I didn’t believe her, so she asked me to try this idea and find out for myself. I thought about it for a couple of days and decided I didn’t have anything to lose, so I asked her for a copy of the letter. I followed the instructions exactly, mailed 200 copies, and sure enough the money started coming in! It arrived slowly at first, but after about three weeks, I was getting more mail than I could open in a day! After about three months the money stopped coming. I kept a precise record of my earnings and in the end it totaled $978,493.00! I could hardly believe it. I met with my friend for lunch to find out exactly how it worked. She told me there are quite a few similar letters around, but this one is different because there are six names at the end of the letter, not five like some others. This fact alone results in your name being in far more returns.

By now you are surely curious to know what small change I made. If you sent a letter like this out, in order to be completely legal, you must actually sell something in the list; you must include these words, “Please put me on your mailing list” and include your address. This is the key to the program. The item you will receive for the dollar you send to six people below is the letter.

This system works if you will just try it. You must follow the simple instructions exactly, and in less than three months, you will receive over $800,000. Guaranteed!

1. Immediately send $1.00 to each of the six people on the list at the end of this letter. Wrap the dollar bill in a note saying,”Please add me to your mailing list and include your address.
2. Delete the name in the number one spot and move the others up one place (2 becomes 1, 3 becomes 2, etc.) Put your name in the sixth position.

Today while some people were saying goodbye to Matt Maupin ,I was in the Lexington , Kentucky Veterans Hospital. I was there to see my uncle ,maybe for the last time. I was Shocked at the pittiful conditions Our Nation's Wounded Veterans have to endure. The rooms were dirty ,hot and crowded. There were no cheerful paintings to look at and only one television per room. No extra seating for visitor's food deplorable and the SMELL . The nurses were nice and I guess they did what was expected of them, no more. Here we let our President send our loved Ones into War but when they come back wounded and broken we don't object to sending them into these Hell Holes. I think our nation needs to start taking GOOD care of the proud men and women who have served their country. Don't take my word ,take a few moments of your own time and visit a local V A Hospital, Look around and see for yourselves. America I AM ASHAMED !

Just because Hillary was the first lady, does not make her seasoned and more qualified - matter of fact I am not sure foreign leaders will take to her because she is a woman.... and besides we have had a 7th grader representing this country for 8 years now, and wow did he do a good job, didn't he? Obama would get into office and just screw everything Good that Bush did for our country, right? Get off of it and get over it, because all this back and forth needs to come to an end. Why are people so scared to say they won't vote for Obama because of the color of his skin? Why are people so scared to say that man brings about unity that no one has seen since the likes of Martin Luther King Jr.? Without unity of all people, we might as well be living under a monarchy, and for many people that is how it has felt for the entire Bush Jr. years. Only a small percentage of people in this country are so wealthy that they can go about their lives and not worry about silly policies and budget crisis and retirement funds or quality education for their children. The rest of us, the majority want some kind of control back. We live in America! So, why don't people just speak the true ignorance and bigotry that is in their closed minds, because Barack Obama is anything but unqualified to be President. I would bet my life that if he was just a few shades lighter, he would be qualified in the eyes of many who just can't get past this man's heritage. QUIT BEING SCARED, AMERICA!! It is not that serious. We all bleed the same color.
Also, when someone is "new" to the scene it is refreshing to watch because this person has done his homework. So, maybe that is why people are scared - this man is putting the mistakes of this country on front street. History is the key to solving problems, but for some reason History kind of keeps repeating itself and it just keeps getting worse.
